boxz - As a supplier of Hunting, Shooting, Archery, Airsoft, and Outdoors Sporting Goods, we love being outside and love our planet. The importance of looking after it is huge.
Like most things, the items we buy leave an impact on the planet and because we all have a responsibility to clean up the footprints we leave behind, we're working hard to find ways that'll let us all enjoy these products without leaving a big impact behind. Everything we do makes an impact here's how we're lessening ours.
Our sustainability story began by looking at things in a slightly different way, we could see a need to do more than just recycling at home so we started to look at how we could improve our effectiveness in the way we operate as a business. Sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint is a huge focus for us, we are working towards this by using sustainable packaging and recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible. Our biggest change and achievement to our operation has to be our energy.
boxz operates fully off-grid, this includes our offices and warehouse. We are not connected to mains electricity, we run totally off of solar array and store our energy in battery banks, although a biggy this is just one of the steps we have made. We need to continually improve upon this and here are our steps so far: We're committed to making our packaging 100% recyclable and working towards zero waste to landfill to make our process as sustainable as possible.
Some of the ways we are doing this are by sending the cardboard, plastic, and wood we can no longer use off for a new lease of life, there are lots of local community projects that need supplies, and where we can help we do so.
To help minimise the impact we create, we've made sure any packaging we buy is 100% recyclable and free of single-use plastics. We also re-use packaging where possible.

We are in the process of rolling out our new eco-friendly boxz boxes and packaging.
Our team has where possible been working from home during the pandemic, but our warehouse is open for very small numbers of people and we've made lots of little swaps to make boxz kinder to the planet. From eco-friendly cleaning products, toilet paper to recycled pens, post-its, recycling our coffee grounds and changing from traditional t-bags which contain plastic to loose tea in eco packaging.
Even the offer cards we pop in with orders are made from recycled paper!
Sustainability is no longer a 'nice to do' but in our eyes, an important 'must do' part of conducting our business. We are always looking at ways to use less plastic, better plastic or if at all possible no plastic, sometimes this uncovers new opportunities and new businesses and friends to work with and we hope that our way of working gives you the consumer a better and more sustainable way of buying and hopefully some inspiration towards a grander ambition. Our ambition is to embrace sustainability to transform our business policies and performance and this will always be something we aim to improve upon and work on.
We're proud to have made big progress over the last year, but we're continually striving to improve our practices and mindful of how we serve our community, how we support our team, and how we work with our suppliers.
